Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Burning time:
4 min
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Dabquel Complex MgP is classified as "Not Highly Flammable (Non-flammable)" in nature.
Executive summary:

Flammability of Dabquel Complex MgP was tested according to EU Method A.10 and EPA OPPTS 830.6315 guideline (Flammability). In the Preliminary Screening Test, the test item did not ignite and no combustion was observed but only charred up to 5.0 cm within 2 minutes when hot flame from the gas burner (diameter of the burner is 25 mm) was applied to one end of the powder train.

There was no smoldering observed within four minutes of total testing period after the withdrawal of flame. Therefore, no main test was conducted to determine the burning rate. It was concluded that Dabquel Complex MgP is "Not Highly Flammable" (Non-flammable).

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the result of the available test, no classification is warranted for Dabquel Complex MgP, since the substance did not ignite and no combustion or smoldering were observed in a preliminary test (JRF, 2016; Report No. RES-2-11-14470).
