Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Bioaccumulation in aquatic species is based on the available information (measured log Kow of 4.5 and calculated BCF values) and is deemed sufficient for the chemical safety assessment. The BCFs for aquatic and terrestrial organisms were calculated using QSARs of Veith et al. (1979) and Jager (1998), both incorporated in the EUSES model, and yielded values of 1330 and 380 L/kg ww, respectively. The measured log Kow is considered conservative for predicting the bioaccumulation based on the lower predicted log Kows by EpiSuite and Sparc (4.0 and 4.2, respectively); the measured Koc value converted to Kow result in a value of 3.65). The predicted fast metabolism of Orange Flower Ether further presents a low expected bioaccumulation potential (see toxico-kinetic section).
