Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice: Take off all contaminated clothing immediately.
If inhaled: Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
In case of skin contact: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Do NOT use solvents or thinners.
In case of eye contact: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
If swallowed: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Rinse mouth with water.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray jet, Foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry powder
Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet
Specific hazards during fire fighting
Fire may cause evolution of: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Use personal protective equipment.
Further information: Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
Environmental precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Methods for cleaning up: Contain spillage, and then collect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and place in container for disposal according to local regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling
Advice on safe handling: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Measures must be taken to prevent dust explosion when processing in fine crystalline form.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.
Hygiene measures: Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after
handling the product.
Dust explosion class: St 3 (= very great danger of dust explosion)
Storage
Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Protect against light. For storage suitable stores with adequate product-reception volume must be used.
Storage class (TRGS 510): 11, Combustible Solids
