Description of key information

Flammability:
The test substance melted when approached by the ignition flame. The test substance burned for a short time (3 sec, 2 cm). The reaction ended within the start segment. The substance is classified as not highly flammable.
Pyrophoric properties:
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, a study does not need to be conducted as it is scientifically unjustified. Based on experience during handling and use, no pyrophoric properties were observed and the structure does not give a reference to pyrophoric properties.
Contact with water:
The substance does not liberate gases in hazardous amounts as defined in the guideline. The substance did not emit ignitable gases an contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the information summarized in this below, no classification on flammability is needed:

- The test substance melted when approached by the ignition flame. The test substance burned for a short time (3 sec, 2 cm). The reaction ended within the start segment.

- It does not ignite spontaneously with water and does not liberate flammable gases in hazardous amounts in contact with water.

Based on the data summarized above, the substance is also not flammable according to GHS (Regulation EC 1272/2008).
