According to REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VII, column 2 and Guidance Chapter R7b, a study on ready biodegradability does not need to be conducted if the substance is inorganic.

Degradation/biodegradation testing is not required for metals and metal compounds like titanium oxide sulphate, which are considered as not (bio)degradable.

Conclusions:
