Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, seek medical attention if necessary.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for 15 minutes, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water, seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides
together with some metal oxide smoke. Suitable
extinguishing agents are water mist, foam, dry powder or
carbon dioxide.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Contain spill, collect material and place in suitable
containers for disposal by incineration. Ventilate area and
wash spill site with copious amounts of water. Do not
discharge to waterways or drainage systems. Persons dealing
with spills should wear a dust mask.
Handling and storage
Handling: Use only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid inhalation and
contact with skin or eyes. Wearing of a simple filter mask
(eg BS 6016 Type 2) protective helmet, eye protection
(safety goggles or face-shield), protective clothing and
protective gloves is recommended. Wash exposed areas of
skin thoroughly after handling.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed. Store in a cool dry place.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Uncontaminated material may be reused. Recovery for reuse
is not possible for contaminated material.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Hydrolysis to molybdate and free ammonium salt followed by
removal of molybdate and neutralisation of the amine is
possible.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance should be incinerated at an approved
facility. Waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen oxides and
metal oxides should be used.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. If the substance should enter a water
purification system, recovery by filtration is possible.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
