Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The substance is not acutely toxic to aquatic organisms.

Chronic toxicity data are available for three trophic levels (fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae).

- Algea study (OECD 201) on 6:2 FTMA (test substance) without any significants effects at the limit of solubility, NOEC (72h)=0,0078 mg/L (Safepharm, 2005)
- Invertebrates study (OECD 211) on 6:2 FTOH (degradation product) with NOEC (21d)= 2,57 mg/L
(DuPont Haskell Global Centers for Health & Environmental Sciences, 2013)
- Fish study (OECD 234) on 6:2 FTOH (degradation product) with a NOEC at 0.0137 mg/L which
corrected for molecular weight differences between 6:2 FTMA (432 g/mol) and 6:2 FTOH (364 g/mol) substances, would yield an equivalent 6:2 FTMA NOEC of 0.0162 mg/ (=0.0137x432/364=0.0162)
(Goodband, 2021)
