Additional information

Two studies have been performed by BASF (1990) in order to study the toxicity of N, N-Dimethyldipropylentriamine to microorganisms. The key study was done according to DIN 38412, part 8 (Pseudomonas Zellvermehrungshemm-Test) guideline in order to study the toxicity toward Pseudomonas putida. When test solutions were not neutralised, EC50_16h and EC10 _16h were 181 mg/L and 127 mg/L, respectively. After neutralization, EC10_16h was higher than 1000 mg/L. The determination of the inhibition of oxygen consumption by activated sludge by N, N-Dimethyldipropylentriamine was performed in an activated sludge respiration inhibition test according to the OECD 209 guideline. No toxic effect was recorded at the tested concentration 1000 mg/L after 30 min of exposure.
