Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
The substance, bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium, do not have a bioaccumulation potential based on estiamtion results supported by the facts of physicochemical parameters and persistant nature of the substance.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Bioaccumulation potential:
- low bioaccumulation potential
Additional information
Absorption:
The absorption capacity of bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium through the inhalation route is expected to be low since it is a liquid with very low vapour pressure (0.000000003 Pa). The use of the chemical suggest that the dermal route is expected to be the most dominant route of exposure. However there is no information on the dermal absorption of this chemical.
Dermal absorption value of bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')zinc (read-across) is estimated as 0.03900 mg/cm2/event (Moderate).
Distribution:
If the chemical substance,bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium, is absorbed through the dermal route, it shall be distributed more in the lipid fraction of the body fluid than in the blood since the solubility of the chemical is low in water compared to the organic solvents.
Excretion:
The bio-concentration factor (BCF) of bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium is very low i.e. 3.162. This value is extrremely low compared to the threshold value of 2000 to suggest bio-accumulation. Thus, the chemical is unlikely to bio-accumulate within the living system and shall be excreted out of the living system quickly either through the urine, excreta or bile. In addition, the Log Kow value of bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium is low i.e. 0.741 suggesting reduced bio-availability. Thus, the chemical is exepected to be excreted mostly unchanged out of the living system.
