Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Study meets the criteria for Klimisch code 2 because it followed an internationally recognised method (EPA OTS 797.1300) and was carried out to Good Laboratory Practice. However, there was no analytical confirmation of the test concentrations. In addition, there were deviations from the guideline, but these deviations did not affect the study outcome.

Additional information

The EC50 in freshwater Daphnia is considered to be >1000 mg/l. The substance is, therefore, considered not

toxic to Daphnia magna. Nevertheless, adequate controls will be in place during production and use to ensure

that the substance is not released to the environment.

The toxicity of the substance has not been assessed using marine invertebrate species, but it is considered likely

to be similar to freshwater species.

The following information is taken into account for short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates for the derivation

of PNEC:

The toxcity of the substance has been measured experimentally with freshwater Daphnia. Due to the extremely

low water solubility all studies have been conducted using Water Accomodated Fractions and completed as limit

tests.
