Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Any other information on results incl. tables
The mean tissue residues (given in mg/kg fresh weight) at steady state are displayed in the following table:
30 ug [14C]- Methiocarb-phenol /L (based on trr)
Edible Parts: 1 .33 mg/kg
Non Edible Parts: 7.61 mg/kg
Whole Fish: 3.79 mg/kg
The uptake rate constant (Ku), depuration rate constant (Kd), time for half clearance and the kinetic bioconcentration factors (based on trr) for edible parts and for whole fish were determined using the OriginTM non-linear kinetic modeling computer programme (2) for this bioconcentration study. The optimal parameter estimates were determined to be:
Origin Calculation Results 30 ug [14C]- Methiocarb-phenol/L (based on trr)
Parameter Edible Parts Viscera Whole Fisch
Kinetic Bioconcentration Factor (BCFtrr) 49.6 262 132
Time to Reach 95% of Steady-State (days) 7.8 3.0 3.3
t(1/2) for Clearance (days) 1.8 0.69 0.77
Taking into account that in edible parts of the fish 15% of the TRR were identified as parent compound and in viscera 9% of the TRR the steady-state-BCF for parent (based on whole fish, wet weight) is 14.5, the steady-state-BCF for parent (normalised to 6% lipid content) is 10.9.
BCFparent (whole fish, wet weight) 14.5
BCFparent (whole fish, normalised to 6% lipid content) 10.9
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- yes
