Additional information

The acute toxicity of Methyl isothiocyanate was evaluated with Oncorhynchus mykiss in a study performed in accordance with OECD testing guideline 203 and GLP requirements.

The fish were exposed to nominal test concentrations between 0.05 and 1.0 mg/L under semi-static conditions during 96 hours. The mean measured concentrations were not maintained between 80 and 120 % of nominal. LC50-96 h was estimated using measured concentrations as being equal to 0.0531 mg/L.

Mortality in control, temperatures, pH range and dissolved oxygen concentration were reported and in agreement with the guideline requirements.
