Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The algal (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) growth inhibition of the test item, TM 09-217, was assessed according to OECD Test Guideline 201 using a growth inhibition method.
Algae were exposed to nominal concentrations of 0.0954, 0.305, 0.977, 3.13 and 10.0 mg/L under static conditions for 72 hours. Due to the volatile nature of the test material the test was conducted in sealed vessels with no headspace. At the start of the test, the measured levels of TM 09-217 in samples of the test cultures ranged between 112 and 182% of their nominal values. After 72 hours, the measured levels had decreased to below the limit of detection at nominally 0.305 mg/L and below to 65%. Based on an geometric mean, the overall mean measured levels of TM 09-217 were 0.0466, 0.0732, 0.470, 1.68 and 9.021 mg/L, and these values have been used in the determination of study end-points.
For growth rate, the ErC50 was 3.22 mg/L with 95% confidence limits of 2.75 - 5.61 mg/L; the ErC10 was 1.56 mg/L with 95% confidence limits of 1.27 -1.79 mg/L; the NOEC was 0.470 mg/L and the LOEC was 1.68 mg/L. For yield, the EyC50 was 1.82 with 95% confidence limits of 1.57 - 2.38 mg/L; the EyC10 was 1.13 mg/L with 95% confidence limits of 0.54 -1.64 mg/L the NOEC was 0.470 mg/L and the LOEC was 1.68 mg/L.
