- Range finding study: The concentration of 100 mg/l of the test item in natural spring water was used for the limit test. The concentrations used for the full study were based on the range finding test results showing that the lowest concentration to cause 100 % immobilisation was 180 mg/l and the highest concentration to cause 0 % immobilisation was 10 mg/l.

- In the limit test, using 100 mg/l of the test substance nonamethylenediamine (NMDA), the percentage of immobilised dapnids is 80 % at the end of the test.
As the percentage of immobilization exceeded 10 % at 48 hours after exposure, a full study was conducted. In the full study, using 180 mg/l, 90 mg/l, 40 mg/l, 20 mg/l and 10 mg/l of the test substance nonamethylenediamine (NMDA), the percentage of immobilization was 100 %, 70 %, 45 %, 20 % and 0 % at the end of the test.
Based on the probit analysis of the data, the EC50 value (probit probability = 0.500) with 95 % percent confidence (p = 0.95) was 46.308 mg/ L. - Results with reference substance (positive control):
- The positive reference substance K2Cr2O7 at 4.8 mg/l caused 100 % immobilisation of daphnids at 24 hours and 48 hours after treatment.
In the negative control groups, the percentage of immobilized daphnids is 0 at 24 hours and 48 hours after treatment.
The dissolved oxygen concentration at the end of the study is higher than 3 mg/l in all the test and control vessels, indicating that the results are valid. - Reported statistics and error estimates:
