Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: VDI 2263 sheet 1
Deviations:
not specified
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The test substance and the reference substance (graphite) are each filled in a 8 ml wire basket. The two wire baskets were put nto an oven and are heated in parallel up to 400 °C. heating rate : 1.6 K/min; air stream 100 liters/hour. The temperature of the samples as well of the oven temperature is measured and recorded.
A substnce shows exothermic self ignition when there is an increase of the sample temperature compared with the reference rsp. the oven.
GLP compliance:
no
