The measurement of the vapour pressure was performed in the temperature range between 55 °C and 115 °C. For the evaluation, the reproducible weight loss values above 1 µg/min of the temperature steps between 65 °C and 95 °C have been considered.


The plot of log VT of the test item as function of the reciprocal temperatures. The coefficient of correlation (R2) was 0.9908.


Inserting the equation for log VT above, the following equation for the temperature dependence of the vapour pressure of the test item is obtained:


logPT = 5.1909 + 1.1972 * (- 4907.6 * 1/T + 10.812)


With this equation, the following vapour pressure results were obtained:


1.21 ∙ 10-2 Pa at 20 °C resp. 2.62 ∙ 10-2 Pa at 25 °C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The isothermal thermogravimetrical effusion method was applied for the deter-mination of the vapour pressure of the test item.
A value of the vapour pressure of the test item was assessed using the data ob-tained between 65 °C and 95 °C. The vapour pressure of the test item was esti-mated to be
1.21 x 10-2 Pa at 20 °C resp. 2.62 x 10-2 Pa at 25 °C.
Executive summary:

Test Design: The vapour pressure of the test item at 20 °C und 25 °C (PT, 20 resp. PT, 25) was determined using the isothermal thermogravimetrical effusion method. According to the guideline, this method was validated in the range 10-10 to > 1 Pa using a set of reference substances with known vapour pressures. 


Results/Conclusion: The isothermal thermogravimetrical effusion method was applied for the determination of the vapour pressure of the test item. A value of the vapour pressure of the test item was assessed using the data obtained between 65 °C and 95 °C. The vapour pressure of the test item was estimated to be


1.21 x 10-2 Pa at 20 °C resp. 2.62 x 10-2 Pa at 25 °C.
