Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
GLP compliance:
yes
Relative self-ignition temperature:
> 400 °C
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions

An endothermal reaction started at about 130 °C and continued to about 140 °C. The sample showed a weak exothermic reaction. The reaction temperature did not reach the limit temperature of 400 °C. The wire mesh enclosure was almost empty following the measurement.

The test substance does not undergo spontaneous combustion in the sense of Test Procedure EC A.16.

Description of key information

> 400 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No spontaneous combustion of the test substance when tested according to the procedure EU A.16 was observed.
