Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
After inhalation:
Take affected persons into fresh air and keep quiet.
. After skin contact:
Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
. After eye contact:
Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms
persist, consult a doctor.
. After swallowing:
If symptoms persist consult doctor.
Fire-fighting measures
. Suitable extinguishing agents :
CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or
alcohol resistant foam.
. For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents :
Water with full jet
. Special hazards, products of combustion, released gases :
Dust can combine with air to form an explosive mixture.
In case of fire, the following can be released:
Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide
. Special protective equipment :
Mouth respiratory protective device.
Wear protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
. Person-related safety precautions:
Particular danger of slipping on leaked/spilled product.
Avoid formation of dust.
Avoid contact with the eyes.
See Section 8 for information on personal protection equipment.
. Measures for environmental protection:
Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course.
Keep contaminated washing water and dispose of appropriately.
. Measures for cleaning/collecting:
Pick up mechanically.
Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles.
Use neutralizing agent.
sodium carbonate
. Additional information:
See Section 13 for disposal information.
Handling and storage
. Handling:
. Information for safe handling:
Prevent formation of dust.
Avoid contact with the eyes.
See Section 8 for information on personal protection equipment.
. Storage:
. Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles:
Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
Keep receptacle tightly sealed.
Use polyolefine lining in receptacles.
Polyethylene

Storing food in the working area is prohibited.
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
Do not eat, drink or smoke while working.
. Protection of hands:
Protective gloves
. Material of gloves
The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the
material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from
manufacturer to manufacturer.
. Penetration time of glove material
The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of
the protective gloves and has to be observed.
