Description of key information

In a static system Daphnia magna were exposed to the test according to the OECD guideline No. 202 (2004) under GLP conditions. The 48h-EC50 was determined to be 24.2 mg/L (nominal concentration).

In an immobilization test Daphnia magna (< 24 h old) were exposed to the test item for 48 hours according to the OECD Guideline No. 202 (2004). The study was conducted in a closed system (sealed glass flasks) without headspace under static conditions over a period of 48 hours. The Daphnia were exposed to a range of concentrations, nominally 0 (control), 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 and 100 mg/L of the test substance dissolved in water. The concentrations of the test item were analytically verified via GC-MS at the start (0 hours) and at the end of the exposure (48 hours) in all concentration levels and the control. The measured concentrations of the test item at the start of the exposure (0 hours) were in the range of 96 to 108 % of the nominal values (6.40, 13.4, 25.8, 53.5 and 95.8 mg/L). At the end of the exposure (48 hours), the measured concentrations of the test item were in the range of 98 to 105 % of the nominal values (6.54, 13.0, 24.9, 52.4 and 97.7 mg/L). The 48h-EC50 was determined to be 24.2 mg/L (nominal concentration).
