Additional information

The adsorption potential of 2 -methyl-N-(4-sulfamoylphenyl) prop-2-enamide (SPM-N) was investigated in a study by Brekelmans (2008). This test was conducted according to OECD Guideline 121, under GLP conditions. The test substance was introduced in an analytical column containing a cyanopropyl stationary phase with both polar and non-polar sites, allowing for interaction of polar and non-polar groups of the substance in the same way as in soil or sewage sludge. The retention time in the column was measured. In the chromatogram of the test substance solution, one large test substance peak and two smaller peaks were observed. The large peak was considered to derive from the major component. The resulting log Koc value of 1.71 at 35 °C (major component) indicates that SPM-N has a low adsorption potential to solid particles.
