Conclusion on classification

The available data for aquatic toxicity on rainbow trout, daphnia magna, and algae, while not demonstrating hazardous effects, are not considered to be reliable or adequate for the purposes of classification. The available data on tadpoles of the African clawed frog, a non-standard test species, are considered to be reliable with restrictions, but the observed effects do not occur at environmentally relevant concentrations. As a result the substance does not meet the criteria for classification as Dangerous for the environment, according to Directive 2001/59/EC. The classification is considered to be inconclusive.

The LogKow=-1.4, and thus does not indicate a potential for bioaccumulation. As a result, the substance does not meet the current criteria for classification as Hazardous to the aquatic environment, according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, as amended by Regulation (EC) No. 286/2011.
