Conclusion on classification

Short-term aquatic toxicity data are available for three trophic levels (fish, aquatic invertebrates, and algae). The lowest observed acute effect concentration is a 96-h LC50 value of 200 mg/L as derived from a study with fish (Promelas sp.). Adequate long-term aquatic toxicity data are also available and the lowest chronic effect value is a 7 -d EC10 as derived from a study with waterflea (C. dubia). The substance is readily biodegradable and has an experimental log Kow of <4. No experimental BCF data are available. Based on all this information, the substance needs not be classified for the environment according to regulation EC/1272/2008 (CLP).
