According to Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, Annex VIII, Section 9.2.2.1, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. The substance (CAS 112-59-4) was found to be readily biodegradable in a DOC Die-Away test according to OECD 301A (BASF AG, 1999, report no. 98/0899/21/1, see IUCLID Ch. 5.2.1). Therefore, a study on hydrolysis is not performed.
