Acute tests on all three trophic levels were performed with a water accommodated fraction to examine the aquatic toxicity of Hexamethylene diisocyanate, oligomers, blocked with dibutylamine. For all acute tests on fish, aquatic invertebrates and aquatic algae no toxic effects occurred at the range of the substances water solubility. Thus, Hexamethylene diisocyanate, oligomers, blocked with dibutylamine is considered to be with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic organisms.

No data on the long-term aquatic toxicity of the submission item are available. However, the absence of adverse effects in acute studies on all three trophic levels as well as the fate properties suggest a low potential for severe long-term toxicity of the submission item to the environment.
