A percutaneous absorption study was conducted to evaluate the uptake of 65[Zn]-chloride by the dorsal skin of the guinea pig. The decline of radioactivity emitted by 65[Zn]-chloride was monitored in at least 10 trials for each concentration tested ranging from 0.8 to 4.87 M ZnCl2 (pH 1.8-6.1). Under the conditions of the test, decline of radioactivity emitted by 65[Zn]-chloride after 5 hours was less than 1% except for the trials with the lowest pH where it might have been between 1 and 2%.
