Description of key information
Under test conditions CYASORB® UV-2908 Light Stabilizer was not toxic to waste water (activated sludge) bacteria at or below a loading rate of 1000 mg/l (NOEC). The EC50 exceeded the loading rate of 1000 mg/l.

In the present study the toxicity of CYASORB® UV-2908 to microorganisms was assessed according to OECD guideline No. 209 and GLP principles. Nominal loading rates were the following: 10, 100 and 1000 mg/l.
Under test conditions CYASORB® UV-2908 Light Stabilizer was not toxic to microorganisms at or below a loading rate of 1000 mg/l (NOEC). The EC50 exceeded the loading rate of 1000 mg/l.
All criteria for acceptability of the test were met and this study was considered to be valid. The present toxicity study is classified as reliable without restrictions according to OECD guideline No. 209.
