Additional information

Short description of key information:

Two in vitro  mutagenicity assays (bacterial mutagenicity and chromosomal aberration studies) and one in vivo micronucleus assay demonstrate the lack of mutagenic activity of 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

The in vitro and in vivo genotoxicity studies with 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone.revealed clearly negative results. Therefore, the test substance must not be classified.
