Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Executive summary:

DETERMINATION OF THE BOILING TEMPERATURE

Compliance with - EEC Directive 92/69 - Method A2 (1992) - OECD Guideline no. 103 (1995) -ISO R918 (1983)- NF T 20-608 (1984)

PROCEDURE

- The distillation method was performed.

- The boiling temperature is given as a distillation range from the initial point of distillation to the dry point of distillation.

- One assay was performed.

RESULT

- Initial point of distillation (corrected value) = 96.55°C = 369.7 K

- Final point of distillation (corrected value) = 280.15°C = 553.3 K

- The dry point of distillation was not determined.

- A distillation curve was performed,

- A solid deposit remained in the test vessel.

- 38 ml of the test substance were only distilled four phases were observed in the distillate.

CONCLUSION

The distillation range was not determined.

Description of key information

The determination of the boiling point of the test item was performed under GLP according to the EEC Directive 92/69 - Method A2 (1992) - OECD Guideline no. 103 (1995) -ISO R918 (1983)- NF T 20-608 (1984).

In result using the Distillation method the dry distillation point could not determined for the test substance.A solid deposit remained in the test vessel (visually : 50% of the test substance, approximately.

Final point of distillation (corrected value) = 280.15°C = 553.3 K at 716.3 mm Hg = 95 483 Pa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
280.15 °C
