In the test, an endothermic effect occurred at a temperature range of approximately 110 to 135 °C. At a temperature of approx. 115 °during the heat-up phase the test item melted and was flowed out of the basket. The test item showed a small exothermal effect starts at approx. 365 °C. The temperature of the test item is permanently (2 - 3 K) above the oven temperature in the temperature range of 365 - 406 °C. The temperature of the test item exceeded 400 °C at a corresponding oven temperature of 397 °C due to this exothermic effect. The maximum temperature of the test item was 406 °C. After the measurement the mesh wire cage was empty. It can be assumed that the small exothermal effect was caused by small residues of the test item which were still attached to the thermocouple. Therefore this small exothermal reaction is not to be considered for the self-ignition of the test item. No self-ignition temperature was observed up to the maximum test temperature of 406 °C. The test item melted and was flowed out of the basket at approx. 115 °C.
