Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
Deviations are necessary due to the very poor water solubility of test item.
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
column elution method
Key result
Water solubility:
> 0.3 - <= 0.8 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: None
Details on results:
The water solubility of Fatty acids, vegetable-oil, Me esters, chlorinated” (CAS n. 95009-45-3) has been and, it seems that water solubility vary with the chlorine numbers. It was from 0.8 mg L-1 for the congener containing 4 Cl atoms to 0.3 mg L-1 for the congener with 9 Cl atoms. The water solubility is driven by congener C19Cl4 and it is of 0.8 mg L-1.
