- Details on results:
- Analysis of the test samples taken during the 96-hour test period showed that measured concentrations were between 80 and 103 % of nominal. In view of the 84 % recovery, it was concluded that concentrations analysed were in agreement with the concentrations prepared. Furthermore, it was concluded that concentrations did not change by more than 20 % during the performance of the test. No visible effects occurred during the 96-hour test period.
Hence, the 96-hour for carp was > 100 mg/l, the maximum concentration to be tested. - Validity criteria fulfilled:
- not specified
- Conclusions:
- The LC50 (96h) of the test item in fish was determined to be higher than 100 mg/L.
- Executive summary:
A short-term toxicity to fish was performed according to the EU Method C.1 (GLP test). A 96-hour semi-static test type in Cyprinus carpio (carp) was carried out. Analysis of the test samples taken during the 96-hour test period showed that measured concentrations were between 80 and 103 % of nominal. No visible effects occurred during the 96-hour test period. Both the LC50 and the NOEC of the test item in fish after an exposure of 96 hours, were higher than 100 mg/L (maximum tested concentration).
