Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

Read-across, key, acute immobilisation, D. magna, limit test, OECD 202, GLP: EC50 > 100 mg/L (nominal) after 48 h.

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

Read-across, key, growth rate inhibition, D. subspicatus, limit test, OECD 201, GLP: EC50 > 100 mg/L (nominal), EC10 > 100 mg/L (nominal) after 72 h.

Additional information

Based on the limit tests in algae and daphnia on a structural analogue of the target substance, the test item is not toxic up to the highest soluble concentration and is expected to not accumulate in fish (BCF 184) . The read-across analogue approach is based on similarity in chemical structure, physical-chemical properties, toxicokinetic behaviour and toxicological study results. As a conclusion, it is scientifically justified to fill (eco)toxicological data gaps for the target substance with data on the respective source substance. Therefore, the test item is not classified in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
