Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results
Thermal Stability (DSC)

The test item showed two endothermic effects in the temperature ranges of 110 °C to 160 °C and 220 °C to 330 °C, respectively. An exothermic was observed in the temperature range of 350 °C to 400 °C with a mean decomposition energy of -100 J/g.

* Different from the convention applied in the thermograms, energies of exothermic effects are presented as negative values and energies of endothermic effects as positive values.

Determination of the SADT in the adiabatic heat-storage test

Due to the fact that the overall decomposition energy of the exothermic effects in the DSC measurments was < -300 J/g, it was not necessary to perform the test for the determination of the SADT.

Conclusion

Thermal Stability OECD 113: The test item DMPSA-K2 in closed glasscrucibles showed two endothermic effects in the temperature ranges of 110 °C to 160 °C and 220 °C to 330 °C, respectively. An exothermic was observed in the temperature range of 350 °C to 400 °C with a mean decomposition energy of -100 J/g.
