Key result
Water solubility:
8.93 µg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Incubation duration:
15 d
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
5.88
Details on results:
Under the instrumental conditions presented, the measured reagent water solubility of NDBC was 8.93 μg/L. The generator column apparatus was allowed to equilibrate for 15 days due to a downward trend in test substance solubility values over the course of the test. The magnitude of this decrease was significantly reduced with time. The test was terminated after analyzing the Day 15 samples, even though the protocol criteria requiring that five consecutive samples at each flow rate have a CV of <10%, and that the percent difference between the mean measured concentrations for each flow rate be 30% or less were not met. For all practical purposes, the test substance concentrations in the water solubility samples had stabilized within the single ppb range and in the scientific judgement of the Study Director, the mean value determined following this extended equilibration period was representative of the overall test substance water solubility. The matrix blank sample did not show any interferences.
