Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The Jojoba esters underwent a preliminary test as instructed in Test A.10 Flammability (Solids). The material immediately began to melt when the flame was introduced to the powder train. The preliminary screening showed that the sample did not propagate greater than 200 mm in less than 4 minutes; therefore, the burning rate test was not performed and this material is not considered as highly flammable.
