Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
Effective Concentration 48 hours for Daphnia (Daphnia magna) : EC (I) 50 • 48 hours (nominal concentration) = Higher than 100 mg/l.
EC (I) 0 - 48 hours (nominal concentration) = 100 mg/I.
Executive summary:

MADAMDMS was tested to evaluate acute toxicity (48 hours) in Daphnia (Daphnia magna) according toO.E.C.D. Guideline No. 202

The Daphnia were exposed to the test substance at theoretical concentrations of: 1, 10 and 100 mg/l. A control group(i.e.without exposure to any substance) was tested under the same conditions.

Static method, without renewal of medium during the exposure period.

After 24 and 48 hours of exposure, evaluation of the number of Daphnia immobilized at each concentration used and in the control group.

Result:

No immobilization was observed in the control ans tests groups No abnormality was observed in the test media during the study

Effective Concentration 48 hours for Daphnia (Daphnia magna) : EC (I) 50 • 48 hours (nominal concentration) = Higher than 100 mg/l. EC (I) 0 - 48 hours (nominal concentration) = 100 mg/I.
