1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling Point)
Version / remarks:
Due to the nature of the sample, boiling point was determined by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), which is a
deviation from OECD Guidelines for The Testing of Chemicals, 103, July 27 1995.

TGA results indicate that the sample has several components boiling at different temperatures. The lowest major boiling component has a boiling point of 296°C (average) that is not completely resolved from a higher boiling component. It is possible the sample is decomposing while boiling at the higher temperature boiling point. There is also a minor lower boiling component comprising approximately 5% of the sample with a boiling point in the 128 to 145°C range that is not well-resolved.

Conclusions:
Boiling point of 4,4'-Isopropylidenediphenol, oligomeric reaction products with 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane, reaction products with 3-aminopropyldiethylamine and 2-piperazin-1-ylethylamine was determined using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Material has several components with different boiling point. 5% of the sample shower boiling point in the 128 to 145°C range that is not well-resolved. The lowest major boiling component has a boiling point of 296°C (average) that is not
completely resolved from a higher boiling component.
Executive summary:

Material has several components with different boiling point. 5% of the sample shower boiling point in the 128 to 145°C range that is not well-resolved. The lowest major boiling component has a boiling point of 296°C (average) that is not

completely resolved from a higher boiling component.
