Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Melting / freezing pt.:
-13 °C

Conclusions:
Differential scannic calorimetry was used to determine melting point of 4,4'-Isopropylidenediphenol, oligomeric reaction products with 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane, reaction products with 3-aminopropyldiethylamine and 2-piperazin-1-ylethylamine. There was no freezing point evident for the sample on cooling. A glass transition (Tg) was evident on heating. A melting point was not evident. The average onset of the Tg is 260.3°K (-13.0°C).
