The following physico-chemical properties of zinc difluoride were studied by appropriate testing:
(i) granulometry and
(ii) dustiness testing,
(iii) pH value for zinc difluoride for solutions with 1 and 5% (w/w) as supporting information.
The results of the studies are reported in the endpoint summary as well as in the accompanying IUCLID database.
Several endpoints are covered with handbook data or were waived due to intrinsic properties and long-term experience in handling of zinc difluoride or based on the criteria as laid down in regulation (EC) 1907/2008.
It is noted that handbook data for physico-chemical properties are considered to be from a trusted source acc. to "ECHA, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance" and therefore, these data could be regarded as valid.
