The dispersing pressure was adjusted to 3.0 bar and the feeding rate was set to 50 %.

The particle size distribution was determined using the laser diffraction method with dry dispersion. The particle size distribution of the test item was determined according to CIPAC MT 187 in duplicate. Table 2 summarizes the results of the particle size distribution.

Conclusions:
Particle Size Distribution:
L10D (v, 0.1) = 4.40 µm,
L50D (v, 0.5) = 13.96 µm,
L90D (v, 0.9) = 36.33 µm.
Executive summary:

CIPAC MT 187 – The particle size distribution of the test item was determined utilising laser scattering diffraction.  The procedure employed was designed to be compatible with the Method 187 of Handbook K from the Collaborative International Pesticides Analytical Council.

The test item was introduced to the analyser beam (Helium-Neon Laser) by direct spraying through the measurement area using the dry powder feeder (air pressure 3 bar, feeding rate 50 %).  The particle size distribution was determined in duplicate and the average result was calculated.

The mean particle size distribution of the test item was established as being L10 D (v, 0.1) = 4.40 µm, the L50 D (v, 0.5) = 13.96 µm and the L90 D (v, 0.9) = 36.33 µm.

Description of key information

Particle Size Distribution: L10D (v, 0.1) = 4.40 µm, L50D (v, 0.5) = 13.96 µm, L90D (v, 0.9) = 36.33 µm; CIPAC MT 187; C Bär (2017)
