Description of key information

Based on a read-across with Trifluoroacetic acid, sodium salt (NaTFA), isopropyl trifluoroacetate is not considered harmful to aquatic invertebrates.

Additional information

No data on the short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates is available for isopropyl trifluoroacetate. However, a reliable key study is available for sodium trifluoroacetate (TFANa) which is used in a read-across approach (see the endpoint study record 'target_short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates').

Based on the results obtained with TFANa, isopropyl trifluoroacetate is not considered harmful to aquatic invertebrates
