Results for screening evaluation:

Analysis of the molecular structure of the substance revealed that one nitro group representing a chemical alert structure for explosive properties is present in the molecule.

Calculation of the oxygen balance according to the above mentioned formula is -170.07 and is therefore higher than the trigger value of -200.

Determination of the exothermic decomposition energy:

The curve obtained from thermal analysis, displayed one exothermic peak with a total energy of 356.37 J/g up to 350 °C with an overall energy release of 313.23 J/g. As a result, the overall energy release is below a critical trigger level of 500 J/g and the onset of energy release is below 500 °C.
