Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The Koc was calculated because the adsorption coefficient could not be determined using EU Method C.19 (Estimation of the Adsorption Coefficient (KOC) on Soil and Sewage Sludge Using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The adsorption coefficient could not be determined because the retention time of beta- Cyclodextrine is too short. It eluates before the reference substances. The study can be considered reliable and suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint.

Calculation methods:

The calculation was performed using KOWWIN v.1.67 (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency) on a personal computer running Windows XP and Karickhoff, S.W., 1981. Semi-empirical estimations of sorption of hydrophobic

pollutants on natural sediments and soils. Chemosphere 10, 833–846.
