Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No data on the Transport and Distribution of the substance is available. The results from the structural analogue are used instead (for details see reporting Format as attached to section 13 in the IUCLID dossier).

One reliable study on the adsorption/desorption potential is available showing that Reaction mass of tetrasodium phosphonoethane-1,2-dicarboxylate and hexasodium-phosphonobutane-1,2,3,4-tetracarboxylate has a low potential of adsorption onto soil. The Henry's Law constant calculated based on the vapour pressure, the water solubility and the molecular weight of the substance shows that Reaction mass of tetrasodium phosphonoethane-1,2-dicarboxylate and hexasodium-phosphonobutane-1,2,3,4-tetracarboxylate has a low potential of volatilisation from water to the air compartment. Therefore, the main target environmental compartment of Reaction mass of tetrasodium phosphonoethane-1,2-dicarboxylate and hexasodium-phosphonobutane-1,2,3,4-tetracarboxylate will be the water compartment.
