Description of key information

The bioaccumulation potential of silatrizole was investigated in a GLP-compliant test conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 305. Under the test conditions, the bluegill sunfish (Lepomis macrochirus) showed a negligible bioconcentration of silatrizole of about 10 at concentration of 2 µg/l (low dose) and 20 µg/l (high dose). Analyses of radioactivity in the organic phase of the exposure water showed almost exclusively parent item at both dose levels during the entire exposure period. Taking into account the actual concentration of the test item in the exposure water of 1.40 and 16.28 µg/l, the average parent BCF value in whole fish amounted to 11 ± 5. When based on lipid content, the overall lipid BCF amounted to 160 ± 78.
