Description of key information

The test substance was biodegraded by an average of 2 % over 28 days. The test substance is classified as not readily biodegradable according to the OECD criteria.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The ready biodegradability of the test substance was investigated according to the OECD guideline 301 F: Manometric Respirometry Test (1992). The biodegradation of the test substance was followed by exposing it in a mineral medium and incubated for 28 days under aerobic conditions. No inhibitory effect of the test substance on the microorganisms was observed. At the end of the test, after 28 days the test substance was biodegraded by 2 %, therefore the test substance is classified as not readily biodegradable. The validity criteria were met.
