Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study is available investigating the biodegradation of 4,4',4''-methylidynetrianiline (EC No. 208-952-0) according to OECD 301F (Spoo-Klöppel, 2015). The test substance (100 mg/L) was exposed to a mixed population of aquatic microorganisms from the aeration tank of a wastewater treatment plant treating predominantly domestic sewage. Biodegradation of the test substance was followed by continuous measurement of the O2 consumption. After a contact time of 28 d no biodegradation was recorded (0 %). The toxicity control did not indicate toxicity of the test substance since 30 % degradation was recorded. Thus, the test substance is not readily biodegradable according to the OECD criteria.
