Additional information

Hydrolysis:

According to the results the test item is considered to be hydrolytically not stable in the presence of an intestinal-fluid simulant. In presence of saliva simulant or gastric-juice simulant it could be shown that the test item hydrolyses slightly.

Biodegradation:

The aerobic degradation of the test item was assessed according to the ISO guideline 14593 using the CO2 headspace test. The test item was biodegraded by 89 % after 28 days (including the 10d-window). Therefore it can be concluded that the test item is readily biodegradable. Further, the anaerobic biodegradability of the test item was assessed according to the ECETOC anaerobic biodegradation guideline. Under the conditions of this test, the test item was partially inherently anaerobic degradable (total degradation: 38.9 +/- 15.9 %).

Adsorption/Desorption:

The adsorption coefficient on soil (Koc) of the test item was determined according to OECD guideline no. 121 and EU test method C.19. The Koc and log Koc of the test item was determined to be 40000 and 4.6, respectively.
