Description of key information

The vapour pressure of 1,3-butadiene is 217kPa at 290K and 255kPa at 295K.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
217 kPa
at the temperature of:
17 °C

Additional information

The CRC Handbook (Lide, 2008) is peer reviewed and is considered reliable and suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint. This value is consistent with the value cited in the EU RAR (2002) for 1,3-butadiene, and is supported by the data from the peer reviewed International Chemical Safety Card (WHO ICSC, 2000) which gives a vapour pressure for 1,3 -butadiene of 245 kPa at 20°C.
