Description of key information
Although the test substance as a solid ignited when exposed to a flame, the reaction did not propagate. Four tests conducted to determine the flammability of the substance upon contact with water all resulted in no gas generation or spontaneous ignition. An additional test was performed to determine the pyrophoric properties which determined Branched CaDDBS does not have pyrophoric properties. The substance is non-flammable. Branched CaDDBS is not classified as flammable as it does not meet the criteria specified in either the DSD or the CLP It is possible to ignite the substance when exposed to flame, but the reaction does not propagate.
